Love's Desire

Chapter 19
The Gospel of Luke

And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. And, behold, there was a man name Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at thy house. And he made, and came down, and received him joyfully.

What a wonderful Savior! For God is love; and love always knows when we are ready. It's beautiful to know that God knew how Zacchaeus felt; and the Lord said unto him, today I am going to your house for dinner. I am sure Zacchaeus was extremely happy. Secondly, I am glad that God did not base his decision on Zacchaeus sin status or social status but he saw a man who wanted to know who he was. For God so love the world he gave us his only begotten son; who will reveal himself to those who desire to know who he is.
